Bose SoundLink Revolve Wireless Speaker Review
Bose SoundLink Revolve Review – Big and loud, immersive 360° sound are words I would use to describe the new Bose SoundLink Revolve wireless Bluetooth speaker from Bose. A cool cylindrical shape and small enough to take just about anywhere. Bose has produced a high quality and very durable aluminum body which also is water-resistant. This little guy can take a few drops and some kicking around, not to mention a few splashes from the pool or beach (but don’t submerge it!) Sound quality is crisp and clear, but there’s tough competition at this price. It uses Bluetooth, USB, connections. Alone this speaker has some great clarity, and pairing it with another is where things really get interesting, but I have to say that I would most likely lean towards a wireless indoor speaker if you’re going to start pairing for better sound quality. This little guy is really meant to be taken out and about (I say that in my Canadian accent!).
Pros
- Can simultaneously pair with up to 2 devices
- Built-in microphone for hands-free calls and voice commands and acts as an extension of your smartphone’s mic for access to Siri and Google Assistant
- Strong battery – >12 hrs
Con’s
- Looks are love or hate -looking much like the Echo and Google home speakers
- No Airplay connection, but that might not be a big concern for many
- Cool battery dock, but it’s extra
Overall this is a really well-built speaker and perfect for someone who wants portability needs extra long battery life, but if you’re going to use this at home more there are some better sounding options. There nothing extremely exciting about this speaker, but no flaws as well. Audiophiles (those crazy folks like me who obsess over the finest sound details) may not jump at this one, but for most this will far exceed expectations and definitely worth checking out.
